چکیده

The study of past cases is an important part of the every-day work carried out by people involved with the application of the law. Currently, the consultation and analysis of legal precedents are, in the majority of the cases, made manually, without the use of any supporting tool. This paper presents an architecture that establishes legal case repositories. These repositories can serve as a base to decision support systems that are able to conduct intelligent analysis of legal precedents. The cases are stored in replicated repositories using the Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML). The architecture is constituted by two levels, each one implementing its own functionalities. The first level includes the repositories, which can be accessed to consult past cases, being the selection of the cases of interest made based in a model of indexation of the information contained in the cases themselves. On top of the first level reside the Artificial Intelligence modules, implement personal assistants, which assist the user in the intelligent analysis of cases.

Using Abstract State Machine in Architecture Design of Distributed Software Component Repository

Recently many enterprises have established their own software component repositories. Because of the physical isolation to each other and independent decision on the classifying and specification mechanisms, the repositories form a distributed and heterogeneous system, hindering the reusability of component resource. Due to the infeasibility of integrating all the repositories physically, it is...

A Model-Driven Approach to Non-Functional Analysis of Software Architectures

We present an approach to managing formal models using Model Driven Architecture (MDA) technologies that delivers analysis techniques through integration with the design tools and repositories that practitioners use. Expert modelling knowledge is captured in domain-specific languages and meta-model constraints. These are represented using UML and colocated with designs and analysis models, prov...

The aDORe Federation Architecture

The need to federate repositories emerges in two distinctive scenarios. In one scenario, scalability-related problems in the operation of a repository reach a point beyond which continued service requires parallelization and hence federation of the repository infrastructure. In the other scenario, multiple distributed repositories manage collections of interest to certain communities or applica...

Combining Distributed Ontology Repositories into a Global Service

Ontologies and vocabularies are a key resource for creating interoperable metadata on the Semantic Web. To make finding and using ontologies easier, the idea of Ontology Repositories has been introduced with current implementations including e.g. the NCBO Bioportal, ONKI and Cupboard. There is a genuine need for different kinds of Ontology Repositories, each focusing on different kinds specific...
